„Many public sector collective agreements have already been reached and will be reached in the difficult economic circumstances ahead,“ a provincial spokesman said in an email Thursday. 3.1.1 The employer shall pay all teachers 1/12 of the actual salary for that month each month, as indicated and calculated herein. For the purposes of this collective agreement, indemnities are considered part of the salary. This collective agreement is entered into under the laws of the Province of Alberta as amended from time to time, including, but not limited to, the Alberta Human Rights Act, the Public Education Collective Bargaining Act (PECBA), the Employment Standards Code and the Labour Relations Code. 4.1.1 The employer has the right to create and fill administrative and supervisory positions, provided that such positions are limited to those defined in clause 4.2.4 and other articles of the collective agreement. 17.1.5 Transfer decisions are subject to the recourse provisions of the collective agreement. The agreement is a legally binding employment contract developed during collective bargaining with the employer and the union. 2.5.2 In the event of a strike or lockout during central negotiations, the presumed continuation of the collective agreement shall be suspended until an agreement on central conditions is ratified in accordance with Article 11(4) of the PECBA or the central conditions are otherwise regularised. Teachers of vocational and technical studies who receive payments under collective agreements before January 1, 1986 continue to receive these payments. In addition to the salary set out elsewhere in this Agreement, a teacher employed by the employer as a teacher in a hutterer colony shall receive an allowance of $1,001, with a proportionate allowance, if the teacher does not teach full-time or for an entire school year in the colony. (a) TEBA and the association. (b) Any employer concerned.

(c) the teachers covered by the collective agreement who are affected by the prize. 14.6.1 The Employer agrees to implement a deferred leave plan, approved by Revenue Canada and appended to this Collective Agreement, available at headquarters and at each school. One of the reasons an agreement took so long is provincial project 28. The law – passed in 2017 but not in force – calls for a two-year wage freeze for public sector employees from 2018-19. Next year, workers would receive a wage increase of 0.75%, up from 1% the following year. 1.3 The trial program takes place during the 2017/18 school year and expires on August 31, 2018, notwithstanding the fact that the collective agreement is respected by law. 1.4 The Employer retains and reserves exclusively all powers, rights, powers, duties and responsibilities conferred and conferred by the laws of the Province of Alberta and is limited only by the specific and explicit terms of this Collective Agreement. The employer must act in a fair, just and reasonable manner..
